As part of Expo 2020 Dubai, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the deployment of 126 public buses dubbed ‘Expo Rider’ from nine locations across Dubai for free transportation of visitors. Moreover, two routes will be launched directly from hotels to Expo venues to transport visitors. Besides the buses that will ferry visitors between Expo gates, the RTA will also deploy buses to transport visitors from the parking area to the gates.
On Saturday through Wednesday, there will be 1,956 direct bus trips per day. On Thursday and Friday, there will be 2,203 direct bus trips. We will provide service every three minutes to every 60 minutes.
RTA director-general, chairman of the board of executive directors, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, confirmed RTA’s readiness to provide an efficient, smooth and express transit service to Expo 2020 visitors from various locations in Dubai and across the UAE through the deployment of 203 buses.
Comfortable seats and high safety standards are featured in these buses. As the first of their kind in the MENA region, they are compatible with Euro 6 low-carbon emission standards. This strategy will provide expo tourists with a wide choice of means of transport thanks to the deployment of these high-quality buses.
