On Thursday, Expo 2020 Dubai announced that school students in the UAE could participate in four curated educational journeys for free. Bookings for the Expo School Programme are now open to all public and private schools in the country. Each of Expo 2020’s journeys is geared toward inspiring students of all ages to think critically, communicate effectively, and grow intellectually.
Legacy of the UAE, World of Opportunities, Sustainable Planet, and Universe in Motion will take place in Expo’s three vibrant Thematic Districts (Opportunity, Mobility, Sustainability) as well as at various pavilions focusing on the legacy and future of the UAE. Designed to align with UAE school curricula, each journey offers unique learning opportunities.”
Expo School Programme vice-president Alya Al Ali emphasized the importance of equipping students with the skills of the future, and engaging them in meaningful conversations. “Each of our four journeys offers a meaningful, educational, and enjoyable experience to students. Our goal is to inspire them in an immersive and engaging environment where they can explore key drivers of future progress and discover the latest technologies and ideas presented across 200-plus pavilions.
Expo 2020 will offer many rare educational opportunities free of charge to UAE schools,” she said. A student reservation includes entry to Expo 2020, express entry into thematic pavilions, and a student identification band. Attending adults will also receive complimentary access, “with different ratios depending on the age of the students”. On October 1, the six-month mega event will begin.
