The ICC has announced that all stadiums will allow 70% of capacity to spectators during the upcoming T20 World Cup in the UAE (and Oman, for some of the first round’s games), which will be held from October to November.
Organizers expect the tournament to attract the most fans since the pandemic in terms of the number of attendees. During the second half of the latest PSL, which was held in the UAE in June, spectators were not allowed inside the stadiums, and tickets for the ongoing IPL have been reduced.
Oman will play Papua New Guinea in the first round of the T20 World Cup on October 17 in Muscat, and four teams will qualify for the main competition, which begins on October 23 with Australia taking on South Africa in Abu Dhabi. Finals are scheduled for November 14 in Dubai.
