Hina Rabbani Khar doesn’t think it’s time to celebrate FATF’s announcement:

Hina Rabbani Khar – According to the state minister, the achievement would not have been possible without the entire team’s relentless effort. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar on Saturday applauded all state institutions for completing the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) action plan, but said that it would be premature to celebrate the task force’s announcement of removal from the gray list made yesterday night.

Hina Rabbani Khar, who led the delegation to the FATF plenary in Berlin, told a press conference in Islamabad that Pakistan is one step away from being removed from the gray list by October 2021 after a delegation from the task force visits the country.

She said the first and final stages of removing Pakistan from the gray list have begun. According to her, the start of the journey toward exclusion from the gray list was just the beginning, adding that they will have to continue to work on this. Before any state is removed from the gray list, a technical team visits the county, according to the state minister. According to her, Pakistan’s top priority is to stop financial assistance to terrorists.
